Signing and handing in a proxy means that you have a say in this election - if anything comes up that interferes with you attending in person you can be sure your voice has been heard.
A directed proxy is the paper vote you received in the mail. Although you can check up to 7 of the candidate boxes, you don’t have to check all 7.
An undirected proxy is a partially filled paper proxy that you sign and give to a trusted neighbor to allow them to vote for you (they will select the candidates). This alternative strategy works best when you trust your neighbor knows more about the candidates’ mission than you do and trust them to vote in alignment with your concerns.
• shares to be allocated among the candidates that support the issues that are of concern to you
• negotiating and bargaining power with other candidates on election night.
• ability to change your vote right up to election night, October 19th. The latest date next to your signature will be the vote that counts.
